Become one with the artwork – Saturday, June 20, 2020, from 1-4 PM
I’m bringing my interactive installation from my solo show, Anonymous@theBeach, out of mothballs and helping you “Use The Buddy System” to take non-selfies, all at a safe 6-foot distance.
This interactive installation is made for the social media age. It speaks to the paradox of staying private while presenting publicly, extending the concept of exposure beyond the graphic work of the backdrop itself.
In the original edition of this show last June, I provided masks as props to ensure anonymity. In a bizarre twist of life imitating art, we are now walking around with our faces half-covered, anonymous to one another. Out of an abundance of safety, I will forgo the original props, and let participants use their own personal face coverings.
